I wanted to take a moment to talk about SMR. I played SMR from it's opening to just a few years ago. I can not put into words how much fun I had playing SMR. I played it for years and never lost the enjoyment and thrill of spending hour trading or running from hunters or helping out in OPs.

The only reason I don't still play SMR today is it move more to force group playing game. While I loved playing a more solo game. At the time that SMR was first coded it was much like the Space Merchants game. You could play in alliances or solo and I would play at a solo trader and sometime I would join an alliance. I liked having that choice but over time the game started favoring group playing and making it hard to play solo. I am not saying that this was wrong on their part it was just that by doing so it lost the part of the game that I loved.

Now that being said I still would to tall you that playing in an alliance can and is a lot of fun. Working as a team to take down a level 70 planet is so cool and you will have a great time doing it. Mining your alliances home planet galaxy and build trade routes is fun. So anyway below you will find two links one to the Space Merchant Realms game and one to their web board.
